SCbio is pleased to welcome Andy Cyr, CHC, senior vice president of Rodgers Builders, to its Strategic Advisory Board.
Cyr brings more than 30 years of experience in healthcare construction, having worked in the industry since 1992. He has led some of the most complex healthcare projects in the Southeast, helping deliver facilities that advance patient care, medical education and clinical innovation.
As senior vice president, Cyr provides operational leadership for Rodgers Builders’ South Carolina operations. He oversees projects from preconstruction through completion, ensuring continuity as projects transition between phases, while managing the coordination of construction contracts, resources and execution.
Since joining Rodgers Builders in 2005, Cyr has played a key role in major expansions and new construction projects for Roper St. Francis Healthcare, the Medical University of South Carolina, Atrium Health and Novant Health. His portfolio includes large-scale hospital expansions, new academic medical facilities, and specialized clinical environments designed to meet the evolving needs of patients, providers and health systems.
Cyr is known for his collaborative leadership and deep understanding of healthcare regulations, planning and construction. He has led teams in delivering facilities that integrate cutting-edge technology, sustainability, and patient-centered design, all while maintaining a strong track record of completing projects on time and within budget.
Cyr holds a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Bowling Green State University, an American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE) Healthcare Construction Certificate, and is an ASHE Certified Healthcare Constructor. He has completed ASHE Planning, Design, and Construction training, further strengthening his expertise in healthcare-specific building standards and regulatory requirements.
