SCbio is pleased to welcome Mitch Miller, director of economic development for York County, South Carolina, to its Strategic Advisory Board, where he will represent SCbio’s Mission-Level Partner, the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance.
Miller leads economic development efforts for York County, where he works to connect the momentum of the Charlotte region with South Carolina’s approach to growth by aligning people, ideas and place. His work focuses on collaboration that advances competitive, community-centered economic outcomes.
As director, Miller oversees initiatives that support business investment, small business innovation and community-driven development. He works with public- and private-sector partners to turn shared goals into action, helping position York County for sustainable growth.
Throughout his career, Miller has helped launch regional partnerships, secure new investment and shape initiatives that link economic development with measurable community impact. He is known for bringing practical strategy, creativity and relationship-building to his work and for building trust across sectors.
Miller holds a bachelor’s degree in community and regional planning and geography from Appalachian State University.
