Life Sciences Leader Spotlight

A person and person standing on a boat.

Bob Quinn
President and CEO at South Carolina Research Authority (SCRA)

What is your personal mission?

My personal mission coincides with SCRA’s mission to fuel South Carolina’s innovation economy. That mission inspires our entire staff to go the extra mile each and every day. Although overall metrics like high-paying jobs created are great, it’s witnessing the impact on individual companies and lives that truly inspires and energizes us.

What is your philosophy on leadership?

Unfortunately, servant leadership has become a bit of a cliché, but I am still a firm believer in it. A leader’s job is to clear the barriers and provide the opportunities to enable their team members to achieve feats they never dreamed they were capable of achieving.
