SCbio and MassBio Launch Drive Accelerator for Fall 2026 Cohorts
About Drive
Drive is an accelerator program designed to advance breakthrough science while providing opportunities to innovators from all parts of the life sciences ecosystem. Fueled initially by MassBio and SCbio, Drive is building an interconnected network of resources between ecosystems to support emerging companies. Twice a year, we support a small group of groundbreaking scientists by connecting them with business fundamentals curriculum, mentorship, industry connections and equity-free prizes, without taking anything in return.

How It Works
During each 8-week hybrid program, Drive startups receive:
- Six industry-specific curriculum modules led by experts
- Weekly sessions with a tailored team of mentors
- Networking opportunities and industry connections throughout each cohort session, leading up to in-person Demo Days in Charleston and Boston
- Drive participants will receive in-kind prizes from Premier Sponsors specific to SCbio and MassBio
Applicant Qualifications
You’re eligible to apply for Drive if:
- You have a high-potential therapeutic pipeline or platform with an asset, or you are using AI and/or machine learning in support of drug discovery and development.
- Your startup has access to the intellectual property for your science or technology, either through a license agreement or through an option agreement to negotiate a license agreement.
- Your startup has raised less than $1.5 million in dilutive capital.
- You will be able to participate in all cornerstone components of the program (curriculum, weekly mentoring sessions and networking events).

Mentors
Mentors play a crucial role in the success of the Drive program, offering their expertise to guide and support the emerging startups participating in the program. By volunteering as a mentor, experienced professionals can have a lasting impact, contribute to the development of groundbreaking therapies and technology, and enrich their own careers through meaningful engagement with the biotech and techbio startup community.
